Snappy Pillow Case

Here's a great pillowcase that's a snap to stitch up! Open on both ends, kids will find this case a cinch to put on their pillow. Perfect for those one-way kidsprints found in your local quilt fabric shop.

Instructions
Step 1: With right sides together, stitch together the 20" x 20" squares on one side of the square using 1/4": seam allowance. If the print has a one-way design, stitch the top portion of the print. (Place the pieces on a pillow for help in determining the direction the print will look best.) Press seam allowance in one direction from the right side of the fabric.
Step 2: Using a 1/4" seam allowance, stitch the 3" piece of coordinating cotton along both long 40" edges of the case. Press seam allowance in one direction from the right side of the fabric. Trim excess fabric from the strips.   Step 3: Fold and press the 2 ­ 9" long pieces wrong sides together to make 2 strips 4-1/2" x 40". Using a 1/4" seam allowance, stitch these pieces along both long 40" edges of the case next to the 3" coordinating piece. Press seam allowance in one direction from the right side of the fabric. Trim excess fabric from the strips.
Step 4: With right sides together, stitch the remaining raw edges together to form the pillowcase.
Step 5: Turn the pillow case right sides out and attach the reversible snap sets 3" from the fold at both ends of the case. Be sure to use the correct snap components as illustrated.
