If you're having difficulty attaching a snap
to fabric, here are some helpful hints:
Do not attach snaps over stitching or a
seam. The bulk of the fabric may interfere with a secure
snap attachment. Simply move the snap to avoid the bulky
area.
Do not attach snaps on an uneven thickness
of fabric. The uneven fabric prevents a secure attachment.
Simply move the snap to avoid the area of thickness.
Be sure a fingernail cannot be forced between
the fabric and the stud or socket. If the snap is not set
properly, place the snap components back into the SnapSetter and
hammer once more to attach the snap tightly onto the fabric.
Be sure the prongs of the snap are not
protruding from beneath the stud or socket. If a prong is
exposed, remove and discard the snap components and begin
again.
